It was time to return our lovely little Chevy back to the rental shop and catch the Bart (train) from San Fran out to Pittsburg where my Dad would pick us up.
This was a connecting tram from the car rental to the Bart.
Now that we were on the Bart it was a bit over an hour journey until the end of the line to Pittsburg.
A few selfies were in order.
We finally got there and my Dad was waiting for us in the car park. Was really good to see him and a familiar face in an unfamiliar territory.
It was about another hour drive from where we were to Dad and Mums place in Lodi.
The Men were conversing in the front of the truck and I made us both a roast beef and potato egg salad sandwich in the back.
We were just around the corner from Home away from home, and just had to stop for some fresh hand picked strawberries.
We were welcomed to my parents house with a beautiful guest room and my darling mother's warm embrace.
The room was made up so pretty!
After unloading all of our stuff mum showed us her garden in the back yard. It was a gorgeous afternoon and the sun was shining directly onto the back of the house.
Dad took us to the local Mexican food shop and we got a few things needed to complete the necessary ingredients for Ceviche and fish tacos.
Unfortunately no food photos as we were too busy enjoying the delicious spread my parents put on. We all enjoyed a few wines and some music and then called it a night.
